I look forward to the Holiday Challenge every year, and not only because it helps to keep the fat off. It’s such a wonderful fund-raising effort, and you’ve done a magnificent job of making it even better for the 20th.
I got my Concept2 Indoor Rower in 1994, but only started participating in the Holiday Challenge in 2002 when I switched from mainly running to cross-training with rowing. Since then, I’ve gotten over 200,000m 15 of the 17 years, and I’ll be going for it again this year (maybe this will be the 5th year I go over 300,000 … ). Rowing became my dominant exercise in 2005, and in 2008 I added biking to my repertoire. I’m trying balance all three now. The Concept2 Indoor Rower remains my go-to whenever I have any kind of injury that prevents me from doing the other two. It’s such a pure, safe, and satisfying workout.
Thanks for providing a healthy, positive incentive to exercise. You folks are the greatest.
